About the Opportunity

We are seeking a talented individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment to join our Commercial Lines Team in St. Louis as an Account Specialist. This position offers an exciting career path with a growing company in its early stages.

Our Account Specialists are responsible for providing administrative and service support to our onboarding and renewal client service team members.  This would be the perfect opportunity for a self-motivated individual with strong organizational skills and a passion for customer service.  The preferred candidate would possess a desire to progress into roles and positions of higher responsibility in the future.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assist in client onboarding process during account transition from the new business team
  • Provide day-to-day client service and administrative support such as:
  • Review insurance requirements and issue certificates of insurance and auto ID cards
  • Execute policy changes / endorsements
  • Invoicing and billing questions
  • Assist with renewal process (i.e. initiate renewal, proposal preparation, obtain loss runs, complete applications, quote review, complete pre and post-binding subjectivities, etc.)
  • Complete internal checklists and documentation procedures, including adhering to Oberle’s workflows and maintaining accurate documentation in Oberle’s agency management system (EPIC)
  • Collaborate with team members and insurance providers to deliver exceptional client service

Candidate Requirements

  • University or college degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; or an acceptable combination of education and experience
  • Insurance industry experience preferred
  • Must have or be willing to obtain a Property & Casualty License
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new skills quickly and prioritize tasks
  • Proven attention to detail and accuracy in work product
  • Self-motivated, proactive, with high energy and enthusiasm for customer service
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and willingness to learn Applied EPIC client management system
