Oberle Risk Strategies is adding an M&A Transaction Specialist to our team in St. Louis. We’re seeking motivated candidates with an interest in advancing to the M&A lead position within 2 – 3 years.

The M&A Transaction Specialist will work closely with the M&A Lead to support our new client onboarding process. This process includes performing property and casualty insurance due diligence on middle-market M&A transactions and effectively managing the logistics and open items around placing insurance coverage, in a compressed timeframe. The position is ideal for the individual that enjoys a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.

Oberle has experienced significant growth since our inception in 2019. The role presents an opportunity to join our firm at an exciting time, while still in our early stages. We’re aiming for a candidate interested in mastering the ins and outs of the M&A process, who would enjoy detailed analytical work and would be energized by working closely with our client base, which is comprised of talented entrepreneurs and private equity professionals across the US.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support M&A Lead in performing commercial insurance due diligence on client acquisitions
  • Learn how to effectively identify gaps in insurance coverage and opportunities for premium savings
  • Broker insurance placements for all lines of commercial insurance, including but not limited to property, casualty, professional liability, management liability, cyber, reps and warranties, and pollution
  • Learn to structure commercial insurance coverage, gain understanding of insurance carrier appetites, and become proficient at carrier negotiations
  • Manage day-to-day interaction and support of client during the pre-acquisition period
  • Exceed client expectations 100% of the time.

Candidate Requirements

  • University or college degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or an acceptable combination of education and experience
  • Ability to learn how to lead a deal process from initial due diligence to close of transaction
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills
  • Exceptional written and oral presentation skills; ability to present concisely and with detail
  • Strong EQ, interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key data, including presentations to key clients
  • Strong organizational skills; must be able to manage and prioritize multiple business objectives and projects with the proper sense of urgency
  • Motivated to exceed expectations
